Ginger Edamame Macaroni Salad with Catelli's Gluten Free Macaroni {Giveaway}

Recently I had the pleasure to attend an Exclusive Gluten Free Pasta Event at George Brown College sponsored by Catelli.  Back in September, Catelli had launched their Gluten Free Pasta line which included penne, fusilli and spaghetti.  You can read my review here.  With the success of the gluten free line, they recently added macaroni.  Our host for the evening was Chef John Higgins.  Chef Higgins is director of George Brown Chef School, former personal chef to the Queen Mother and a judge on Food Network's Chopped Canada.

Sesame Chicken with Fennel and Orange Salad {CLBN}

Today I am recreating Canadian Living's May cover recipe.  May's cover recipe is a Sesame Chicken with Fennel and Orange Salad.  When I received this month's recipe I was excited to try something that was totally different from what I would normally make.  I've never worked with fennel bulbs before although we always have fennel seeds (saunf) in the house.  I was nervous because fennel bulbs have a licorice taste and I'm not a fan of licorice.  Also cabbage is not my most favourite vegetable.  I've never been a fan of coleslaw.  But I thought this was a great opportunity to try something new and out of my comfort zone.

Vegetarian Pot Stickers

I had bought some wonton wrappers thinking I would make some perogies.  I looked up a few recipes and realized there was a lot of cheese in them and I didn't want to make something so fatty.  I decide I would give Pot Stickers a try.  They were pretty easy to make...just takes some time to make them all.  I wasn't able to get the pretty folding on the top that you usually see on pot stickers.
